Monetary-policy information is part of New York’s financial environment, but a policy narrative alone does not tell a currency trader when to enter. A useful signal should distinguish what an institution announced from the analyst’s interpretation of it.

Use a source-first event sheet

Write down the original release source, its timestamp and the specific fact being discussed. Add a separate sentence for the proposed market implication. This makes it possible to revise an interpretation without pretending the underlying announcement has changed.

Next, identify both currencies and the intended timeframe. A view about policy over several months does not automatically establish an intraday entry. Ask what market condition must appear and how long the analyst will wait before cancelling the setup.

Keep uncertainty in the message

A human-created signal should make room for an event to produce an unexpected response. The useful question is what the analyst will do if the proposed confirmation never appears. A transparent cancellation is more informative than an explanation that changes after every price move.
